Ensure you have your passport, completed Disembarkation / Embarkation (D/E) cards and Permits / Entry Visa (if applicable). If you are arriving within six days of passing through areas endemic for Yellow Fever, you may need to present a Fever Vaccination Certificate.

Note to transiting passengers: If your airline does not provide a baggage transfer service, you are required to clear Arrival Immigration and claim your baggage before checking in for your next flight in Terminals 1, 2 or 3.

    Tips for a Smooth Arrival

    • Pass through the Green Channel if you have no goods to declare.
    • Pass through the Red Channel if you have goods to declare.

  • DEPARTING

    Check-in Procedure

This step-by-step guide will help you enjoy a smooth, hassle-free check-in.Most airline check-in counters open at least two hours before your flight, and some also offer early and online check-in.We encourage you to check in at least two hours before your departure time.

    Tips for a smooth check-in:

    1. Pack all your luggage, including your hand-carried luggage, according to security guidelines.Tip: Do remember to check in any liquids, aerosols or gels which are in containers larger than 100ml. You should also keep portable chargers in your hand-carried luggage instead of checking them in.

    2. The first thing you should do when you arrive at the airport is check the Flight Information Display Screens to find out your airline’s check-in row.

    3. Next, approach the check-in counter with your travel documents—valid passport, air ticket or booking confirmation, and visa (if applicable).

Check-in procedures and requirements vary by airline, so please check with your airline representative or ground handling agent for more details. Our Airlines page also has more information.

    4. Before leaving the check-in counter, make sure you’ve been issued the correct boarding pass(es) and that your travel documents are in order.

    5. If everything is in order, say your farewells and proceed to the Departure Transit Hall. Now’s the time to shop, grab a bite and enjoy the transit facilities.

    Group Check-in

If you’re travelling in a group of 10 or more, ask your airline if they have a special check-in counter at their designated check-in rows.

  • FLIGHT TRANSFER

How do I ensure that I’m eligible for a flight transfer?
To transfer flights without clearing immigration, you would need to have purchased transfer facilities as part of your flights. Most connecting flights purchased together would already have transfer facilities included. Do check with your agent if you are unsure.

If transfer facilities are not included in your flight tickets, please clear arrival immigration, collect your checked-in baggage from the arrival carousel (if any), and proceed to your check-in counter for your next flight. More details on your airline’s check-in options here.

    • If you have your connecting flight’s boarding pass, and your bags are checked-through to your final destination:
Please refer to any Flight Information Displays in the transit area, or speak to our friendly Changi Experience Agents (CEAs) for more information on getting to your departure gate.
To confirm if your bags have been checked-through to the final destination, you may look at the check-in bags receipt that the check-in agent should have issued you at the point of check-in. If the receipt indicates SIN, your bags are only checked-through to Changi Airport.
    • If you have your boarding pass, but your checked-in bags are only sent to Changi Airport:
Please proceed to your nearest transfer lounge/counter. At the transfer lounge, you may refer to the Transfer Information Passenger Display System (TIPDS) to find out which transfer counter you can approach to request for your checked-in bags to be transferred to your departing flight.
    • If you do not have your boarding pass and are eligible for transfer within transit:
Please proceed to your nearest transfer lounge/counter. At the transfer lounge, you may refer to the Transfer Information Passenger Display System (TIPDS) to find out which transfer counter you should approach. The check-in agent at the counter will process your check-in for your departure flight.
