Management and Control of Civilian Air Traffic in Italy

ENAV has become official provider of Libya, that has decided to entrust tender to the Italian Service Provider by €1 million for the training of 140 Air Traffic Controllers.

After a collaboration between the two countries, which began in 2011, to reopen the Libyan air space following the political events that have penalized the north African state, Libya turns to ENAV to perfect the training of its operative personnel. With the commercial agreement that has recently been signed, 140 Libyan Air Traffic Controllers, will follow 2 weeks courses on a roster at the ENAV Academy in Forlì from October to December 2012 .

ENAV is hence continuing with success to expand into foreign markets with activities for which it is considered a world leader: from training the Air Traffic Controllers of several countries (Ukrainians, Polish and Chinese), to commercial agreements with Afghanistan for the development of flight assistance services, not forgetting the important tenders won with Kenya and Romania for the supply of flight inspection services (monitoring of ground systems for air traffic control).

The latest tender won by ENAV occurred last 16th August with Rwanda: the Italian Service Provider, through Techno Sky (an ENAV company), will deliver and install a network of 24 meteorological and hydro-meteorological stations for the environmental monitoring of Rwanda's territory.

Training, in particular, represents for us a fundamental means of selling our specialized consultancy in sectors and services for which ENAV is a world leader. In 2011 alone we received 190 guests from several countries in Forlì, providing a total of 30,000 hours training. The results we are obtaining with our business activities, that in addition to training include aeronautical, flight inspection and specialized engineering consultancy, not only open the doors for Italian products and services on important foreign markets, but also create value without burdening the country's economy”.
