New District at the BER

From the 7th to 9th of October at the Munich Expo Real trade fair, the airport company will present their real estate project in the immediate surroundings of the new BER airport. 380,000 square meters of construction zone will stretch along the area from the access road of the Autobahn A113 up to the terminals. Here, an urban mix of high value offices and other commercial spaces will be built. Marketing will begin at the end of 2020.

With the opening of the new airport in October 2020, Schönefeld airport will become the region’s most important infrastructural hub with many chances for both national and international project developers and investors. After the commissioning of the BER, the airport company will develop an on-site urban district, offering high quality workplaces with an excellent traffic connection. Mainly, the campus-like “Midfield Gardens” and “Airgate” districts, both located between the airport’s runways, will be presented at Munich’s Expo Real. Offices, restaurants, cooperative spaces, hotels, and conference centres will all be developed here. A direct underground metro connection has already been built right at Willy-Brandt-Platz. Offices and hotels as well as several car parks have been built there, too, and building preparation measures have begun for another hotel. A further construction field available at this location.
